There was a time when I couldn’t leave the house without running back inside three or four times. I had to plan my journeys so I knew where every potential toilet stop could be, and if I entered a new place I needed to know immediately where the toilets were or I’d have to go home.
My anxiety relating to my IBS was taking over my life. I couldn’t function normally anymore because everything I did revolved around how far away the nearest toilet would be. I found myself in tears on a regular basis, not knowing where to turn for help.
I hadn’t even considered Hypnotherapy was something that might help, I thought it was all down to the food I was eating so how could hypnotherapy make a difference? For me, I hadn’t known it wasn’t the food I was eating, as much as it was the fear and anticipation of having an IBS attack.
I tried Hypnotherapy for building my confidence and came away knowing my food triggers for my IBS, but no longer having anxiety surrounding my IBS. It completely changed my life. Writing this has really shocked me in how far I have come. I don’t even think about where the toilets are anymore, unless I happen to need it of course. I can go anywhere I want now. I can leave my house just fine. I can even go on day trips out again. I do long drives on my own without having any idea where the toilets are on the route. I can be me again. I am me again. The me I always thought I could be.
For me hypnotherapy changed my life in ways no one will ever be able to truly appreciate. I’m so grateful, and this is the reason I trained to become a hypnotherapist myself. So I could help to change the lives of people like you in a positive way.
