I have a passion for supporting people to live well. Whether that is helping a neighbour, supporting our local village, or chatting on a one to one basis with my clients who are looking for that extra helping hand to get to where they want to be. My life involves helping others and in turn I get the wonderful reward of making a positive difference.
I live in Milnrow and have a purpose-built clinic at the back of my home, specifically to provide private and confidential sessions. I am very family orientated and working from home gives me the added benefit of being here when our children set off and return from the local high school. My cat Dusty seems to enjoy me being around a bit more too!
Previously I worked for a National charity where I managed one to one information and advice services in West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester. I loved my job, but each promotion took me one step further away from providing that one to one support I valued giving, and so I furthered my studies to become qualified in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy.
I thoroughly enjoy listening, and then encouraging and supporting people to be where they want to be. I have been privileged to share in so many client journeys and I feel absolutely honoured to be able to guide people in the way that they choose to achieve their preferred future.
I have been fortunate to use Solution Focused Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy for my own benefit, having overcome extreme anxiety related to IBS and public speaking, and my experience gave me the confidence to go on to study, learn and give back to others, a service I feel so lucky to have received. For me and for many of my clients the phrase “Life Changing” is often used… how wonderful.
If you have any questions, or just want to talk through whether Solution Focused Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy is the right choice for you, please give me a call and we can chat about your experiences and go from there.
An older man was walking along the beach the day after a storm had hit and could see a figure ahead who seemed to be dancing across the shore back and forth to the water. Baffled he got closer to the figure and was able to see that it was a young woman gently moving starfish from the shore and into the water. “Young woman, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?” he asked. She replied, “If they don’t get moved into the sea then they won’t be able to breathe and will die”. The man responded “But, do you not realise how long this beach is and how many starfish there are? There must be thousands, surely you must realise you cannot possibly make a difference?” The young woman bent down and gently put another starfish into the sea….
“It made a difference for that one”.

Smiling is infectious,
You catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too!
I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin.
When he smiled I realised
I’d passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile,
Then realised its worth,
A single smile just like mine,
Could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin,
Don’t leave it undetected,
Let’s start an epidemic quick,
And get the world infected!
