Once I stayed up cleaning my whole house from top to bottom, every skirting board, every door, every light switch, everywhere, all because someone had knocked on my door and I didn’t know who it was. I didn’t even answer the door because I was frozen in place, but I never wanted that feeling again, so I knew if I tidied and cleaned to within an inch of my life, I’d feel better, and I’d answer the door next time….. as long as it was still spotless anyway.”
